Rotatory Encoder | E6B2-CWZ6C | Omron
Encoder E6B2-CWZ6C 1000P/R. Diameter, 40 mm dia. Power supply voltage, 5 to 24 VDC (-5% to +15%) Ripple (p-p) 5% max. Current consumption, 80 mA max.
.
Model: E6B2-CWZ6C
Type: Rotatory Encoder
Introduction:
Wiring: Exercise caution in the activation and deactivation of the encoder’s power to mitigate the generation of spurious pulses. Allow a minimum of 0.1 seconds before using the connected device after powering on, and cease usage at least 0.1 seconds before shutting off the encoder’s power. Furthermore, adhere to a specific sequence by activating the load’s power only after turning on the encoder.
Mounting: Efficiently adjust phase Z using the origin indication function, streamlining the process. Align cut face D precisely with the phase Z origin, as elucidated in the accompanying figure, ensuring meticulous positioning for optimal performance and reliability.
Precautions for Safe Use:
- Avoid exceeding the rated voltage to prevent potential shattering or burning of the product.
- Refrain from parallel wiring with high-voltage or power lines to prevent damage or malfunction due to induction.
- Install a surge absorber in the power supply circuit to absorb power supply surges, and minimize wiring length to shield against external noise.
- Activate devices attached to the product at least 0.1 seconds before or after turning on or off the power to prevent incorrect pulses.
- Exercise caution during wiring, especially regarding power supply polarity, to prevent burning or breakage.
- Avoid cutting off the load abruptly, as this could result in breakage; fix any load short circuits before restoring power.
- Avoid using the encoder in areas with explosive or ignition gas.
- Refrain from tampering, disassembling, or attempting to repair the product.
Precautions for Correct Use:
- Handle the product with extreme care due to its high-precision components.
- Prevent water or oil contact with the product.
- Turn off the power supply before wiring to prevent potential harm to the output circuit.
- When mounting and wiring, avoid pulling the cord with more than 29.4 N force and ensure not to strain the shaft excessively.
- Prevent overloading the shaft with load; connect an additional bearing before linking with a chain, timing belt, or gears.
- Be cautious of excessive force applied to the shaft during installation, considering misalignment or other installation faults.
- Use caution when placing the shaft into the connection to avoid excessive force.
- Exercise care when installing or removing the coupler to avoid excessive tensile, compressive, or bending force.
