An Ethernet/IP + Modbus TCP gateway that adheres to ASInterface standard 3.0 is the Pepperl+Fuchs VBG-ENX-K20-D. Transitioning to its features, the K20’s stainless steel construction and IP20 rating make it especially suitable for snap-on attachment on 35 mm mounting rails in switching cabinets.
Moreover, the gateway links AS-Interface systems to a higher-level net following the AS-Interface standard V 3.0. It serves a dual role as a slave for the higher-level net and as a master for the AS-Interface section. The cyclic data exchange facilitates the transfer of digital data within an AS-Interface segment. Additionally, an analog values transport and the entire command set of the new AS-Interface standard utilize a command interface.
