The PM240-2 Power Modules (degree of protection IP20) perfectly suit to handle a variety of applications in general machinery construction and are a component of the modular SINAMICS G120 converter (comprising power unit, control unit, and operator panel). They also have a braking chopper (four-quadrant applications).

The PM240-2 Power Module can flexibly pair with various Control Units, depending on the breadth of the applicable application and safety need (for instance, STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). The SINAMICS G120 frequency converter comprises the CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2 Control Units. A built-in unit for installation in control cabinets, the PM240-2 has an IP20 level of protection. Three different voltage versions are offered in it, with power ratings ranging from 0.55 kW to 250 kW. It also offers the Power Module in a push-through configuration to dissipate heat loss as effectively as possible outside the control cabinet. Safety Integrated is also available in these sizes.The sturdy construction allows for cable lengths of up to 450 m (frame size FSF/FSG).
