The PM240-2 Power Modules (degree of protection IP20) have a braking chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are part of the modular SINAMICS G120 converter, which consists of a power unit, control unit, and operator panel. In general machinery construction, they handle a variety of applications well suited.

The PM240-2 Power Module can be flexibly integrated with a variety of Control Units, depending on the extent of the applicable application and safety need (for instance, STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). This makes up the operational SINAMICS G120 frequency converter along with the CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2 Control Units. For the best heat dissipation outside the control cabinet, the Power Module is also offered in a push-through configuration. Safety Integrated is also available in these sizes. The robust construction enables cable lengths of up to 450 m (frame size FSF/FSG).
